![]() ![]() To say this was hard would be an understatement. Remember, I'm on tour, in a bus traveling the country and away from my family. This news sent us down a whole new journey. In his case they formed swapped and would need to be swapped to normal position within days of birth. ![]() TGA is a heart defect where the two main blood vessels leaving the heart are in abnormal positions. The tests determined that our son had a heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries or TGA for short. The tests came back indicating that the baby was perfect from a neurological stand point. Given the information we had, we opted to do more testing to get a definitive answer on what was going on. Didn't want to meet fans, didn't want to be on the bus, didn't want to do anything! Out on tour, helpless with an obligation to finish what I'd started. Early indications led us to believe it may be Downs Syndrome. One morning I woke up to a phone call from my wife with her telling me that the genetic testing had detected something. The shows were packed and so far it was the highest attended tour I'd done! Life was great! The test took a couple of weeks and by that time I had left on tour. We decided to do genetic testing on the baby just to have any early indicators if there was potentially anything wrong. My wife and I found out we were having a baby so there was a lot of excitement around my house going on between that news, the album and the tour. I had just finished what I believe was gonna be the biggest album I'd released yet and I was gearing up for a big tour - the Self Made in America Tour. This is a long one but the back story is important. But there is so much more that makes this amazing. ![]()
